We have been reading about Bats this week. We have learned lots of interesting information about these flying mammals. What do you think is the most interesting fact about bats? Remember to tell why you think it is interesting.
Our reading story this week has been about Bats. Yesterday, we compeleted an activity where we chose the 10 most important words from our story. They are: echolocation, gentle, hibernate, in danger, mammals, night animals, good hunters, webbed wings, expert fliers, and hunts insects. As a group, choose 5 words from the list and explain why they help us to understand Bats.
Today is Valentine’s Day. We celebrate this day by showing others how much we care about them, and our class has shown how much we care about people who are struggling with cancer. For the past 3 weeks students at Otis Brown Elementary participated in the Pennies for Patients change drive benefitting the Luekemia and Lymphoma Society.
I am so proud of my students and how they showed their “Attitude of Gratitude”. During that 3 week change drive, our class collected $207.88. WOW! I am so blessed to have students and parents that are so generous and think of others.
